CEEE Awarded $400,000 For CSU HSI-STEM Program Evaluation

The College’s newly established Center for Evaluation and Educational Effectiveness (CEEE) was recently awarded a $400,000 contract by the U.S. Department of Education to conduct a summative evaluation of the implementation and impact of the 7 HSI-STEM programs in the CSU on student learning and success. The evaluation, conducted in partnership with the CSU Office of the Chancellor and the CSU campuses (including Áù¾ÅÉ«ÌÃ), is the first attempt to take a comprehensive view of the outcomes and impact of these high-profile programs and will provide a foundation for future studies of this kind. The year-long evaluation is being directed by Avery Olson (EDLD faculty) and overseen by center leadership (Anna Ortiz, Don Haviland, and Alejandra Priede).
