Oliver Wang, professor in the Department of Sociology at Cal State Long Beach, interviewed author Euny Hong in the journal about the expanded edition of 鈥淭he Birth of Korean Cool: How One Nation Is Conquering the World Through Pop Culture.鈥 Wang writes, that Hong believes 鈥淪outh Korea has entered the Permacool firmament,鈥 once reserved for countries like France or the United States.
